SOLANO , Nueva Vizcaya — The Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya has released a total of 29,289 Family Food Packs (FFPs) to municipalities across the province as part of a sustained effort to reinforce local disaster response following the devastation of Super Typhoon Uwan. The large-scale relief rollout, led by Governor Atty. Jose V. Gambito and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), reflects the province’s intensified push to support families still struggling with disrupted livelihoods, damaged homes, and limited access to essential supplies.
The initiative forms part of the province’s broader post-Uwan relief and rehabilitation program, now considered one of the largest and fastest provincial relief mobilizations in Cagayan Valley. As recovery operations continue, the Provincial Government emphasized the importance of replenishing municipal relief stocks so that towns can respond quickly to localized needs.
Allocation Highlights: Alfonso Castañeda Receives Largest Share as Needs Spike
According to the PDRRMO’s consolidated report as of November 19, 2025, Alfonso Castañeda received the highest allocation with 3,957 FFPs, reflecting the severe impact of the storm on the town’s remote barangays and the difficulty of accessing several mountainous areas.
Bayombong, the capital town, followed with 3,532 food packs. Both Bambang and Dupax del Norte received 3,500 each, as these municipalities continue to house numerous displaced families and damaged communities.
Dupax del Sur received 3,000 packs, while Aritao was allocated 2,500. The more densely populated commercial municipalities such as Solano received 2,300, supporting relief operations in both urban and peripheral barangays. Meanwhile, Kasibu and Villaverde each received 2,000, Diadi got 1,500, Bagabag received 1,000, and Quezon was given 500 packs for its affected households.
These figures highlight the provincial government’s strategy of distributing food packs based on reported needs, population size, accessibility challenges, and the severity of Typhoon Uwan’s impact.

Gov. Gambito: Relief Stocks Must Stay Ready as Recovery Continues
Governor Gambito said the province remains committed to supporting all municipalities as they continue their recovery from Typhoon Uwan, which left widespread damage to agriculture, infrastructure, and housing. He stressed that replenishing local relief goods is essential, especially for towns that quickly exhausted their initial stocks due to high demand in the immediate aftermath of the storm.
Gambito underscored that maintaining reliable and accessible relief inventories at the municipal level ensures swift response in case of secondary emergencies, aftershocks, or localized disruptions. He also instructed the PDRRMO to continue coordinating closely with municipal disaster offices to verify distribution reports, monitor remaining stocks, and determine additional resource requirements.
The Governor reiterated his message of unity and resilience, emphasizing that recovery will require “collaboration at every level of government,” including synchronized efforts between towns, barangays, provincial units, and national agencies.
PDRRMO Nueva Vizcaya Accelerates Coordination With LGUs
For the PDRRMO, the nearly 30,000 distributed food packs represent a significant milestone in the province’s relief operations. The agency said it will persist in assisting LGUs that request supplementary support, especially those whose supply capacities remain strained due to blocked roads, damaged warehouses, or extensive displacement.
The PDRRMO also emphasized that updating relief inventory systems and monitoring the flow of resources are crucial to avoid gaps in municipal disaster response. This includes preparing for possible weather disturbances and ensuring that provincial relief operations remain responsive and well-coordinated.
A Province Rebuilding Together
As municipal governments continue to reach their most affected barangays, the province’s latest dispatch of nearly 30,000 Family Food Packs marks another major step toward stabilizing communities and supporting families still coping with the storm’s impact.
With relief, rehabilitation, and national assistance efforts ongoing, Nueva Vizcaya remains focused on restoring normalcy in all towns — a goal anchored in the resilience of its people and the proactive support of local and provincial leaders.
Governor Gambito affirmed that the provincial government will “continue to stand with every Novo Vizcayano,” ensuring that no community is left behind as the province rebuilds from Typhoon Uwan’s aftermath.
