The province of Nueva Vizcaya continues its steady march toward full power restoration as lineworkers from NUVELCO and multiple partner electric cooperatives intensify efforts across affected municipalities. Based on the latest Power Restoration Progress Report as of November 25, the province has reached 82.28 percent restoration, marking significant progress following days of disruptions that affected households, businesses, and essential services.
Provincewide Restoration Efforts Show Strong Collaboration
In a scene reminiscent of the bayanihan spirit deeply rooted in Philippine communities, linemen from NUVELCO worked shoulder to shoulder with teams from PANELCO III, ISECO, TARELCO I, TARELCO II, ZAMECO I, ZAMECO II, and OMECO. These electric cooperatives, some traveling from several provinces away, converged in Nueva Vizcaya to help restore power in critical areas.
The teamwork was particularly evident in Magapuy, Bayombong, where NUVELCO and its partner crews successfully restored electricity, providing much-needed relief to residents who had endured prolonged outages. Residents expressed gratitude, noting how the coordinated efforts brought light back into their communities after days of uncertainty.
Crews also completed restoration in Pinya and Langka in Diadi, areas heavily affected by the outage and challenging to access due to terrain and downed lines. Despite the physical strain, workers pressed on, driven by the commitment to ensure that no sitio or barangay is left behind in the restoration timeline.

Municipalities Report Steady Climb in Restoration Percentages
The most recent report from the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) showed mixed progress across municipalities. Bayombong leads the province with 97 percent restored, followed closely by Ambaguio at 94.49 percent, Bagabag at 93.15 percent, and Alfonso Castañeda at 93.17 percent. These towns are nearing full normalization of power supply.
Meanwhile, areas like Diadi (48.28 percent), Kayapa (60.69 percent), Kasibu (63.58 percent), and Villaverde (68.60 percent) continue to face challenges due to difficult terrain, scattered outages, and line damage. Still, progress in these municipalities remains steady, owing to the expanded number of linemen deployed across the province.
The towns of Solano at 83.10 percent, Santa Fe at 82 percent, and Aritao at 81.73 percent show consistent improvements, reinforcing the province’s overall upward trajectory despite logistical barriers.
A Province United in the Dark and the Light
For residents, the ongoing restoration is more than just the return of electricity. It represents a sense of normalcy, safety, and stability after days of struggling with communication limitations and disrupted routines. For schools, businesses, medical facilities, and LGUs, restored electricity means resumption of crucial operations and services.
The collective efforts of NUVELCO and its partner cooperatives have become an inspiring example of how provinces can come together during critical moments. Lineworkers, often working long hours under unpredictable weather, have been hailed as heroes on the ground, restoring not just power but also hope in communities they serve.
Final Outlook: Nueva Vizcaya Pushes Toward Full Restoration
Nueva Vizcaya’s power restoration journey is now past the 80 percent mark, with several towns nearing complete recovery. While challenges persist in areas with difficult geographic conditions, the continuous presence of linemen and partner cooperatives suggests that the province is on track for near-full restoration soon.
With the unwavering commitment of NUVELCO, PDRRMO, partner ECs, and local government units, Nueva Vizcaya remains united in bringing back electricity to every last household — one street, one sitio, and one barangay at a time.
